We begin every project with an in-depth 90-min virtual ‘Plan Your Design Scope’ design direction call.

During this time, we will review the space in depth and discuss the project goals, budget, timeline, and current state of the project. We strive to provide as much value as possible during this time. Come away with an actionable design plan and a working budget.

The call is also a great way for us to freely discuss as many design ideas and solutions as we can, answer your most pressing questions, and help you discern the best investment approach for your space. It also allows us to discover if we’re vibing and the best fit for your project, there is no commitment to continue design services with us upon completion of the consultation.

In some cases, we're able to give you enough direction during this time that you can feel confident enough to move forward with small projects!

Discover

We begin every project with an in-depth virtual 90-min design consultation. The consultation is a great way for us to freely discuss as many design ideas and solutions as we can and is where we gather everything we need know to start your design.

Document

We rely on you taking your own measurements of your space and communicate this information to us. From there we can draw a scaled representation of your footprint. We will walk you through this process if you’re measuring from scratch.

Design

Once we’ve received your measurements of the space, we will begin your design! You can sit back and relax while we take it from here and do what we do best!
FEEDBACK
Mid-design we will schedule a 90-min feedback meeting so you can visualize where we are with your new design before we begin making selections.
PRESENTATION
Once we have completed your design we will schedule a 90-min presentation meeting to share the design!

HOW DOES VIRTUAL DESIGN WORK?

We are currently working as a remote studio which means our communication is primarily virtual. This is how it works.

We rely on you taking your own measurements of your space and communicate this to us so we can draw a scaled representation of your space. We will walk you through this process if we're measuring from scratch. Pictures and video are amazing tools that make it easy for us to make the most important assumptions about your space.
Projects in Washington, DC can add-on a in-person measuring from our team.
Our design meetings are all conducted over video meeting software. We are currently using Google Meet. It allows us to share our design in multiple ways such as selection boards, 3D models, etc. We also send pre-recorded reviews of our designs prior to meeting so you have some time to soak in our ideas prior to discussing.
There is still a ton of tangible elements to our project and we utilize samples to help you make approvals as easy as possible! We help order samples when finishes need to be selected and you will receive them in the mail prior to making decisions.

Once you’ve submitted an application, we’ll review your application to make sure we’re the right fit for your projct and you’ll hear back from us with our availability for next steps. We are usually booked out around 2 months so applying early will help us get your project started pronto!
We get you scheduled for a consultation right away! Our process thereafter takes approximately 4-6 weeks after we receive the measurement of your space to the delivery of your design. We only take on designs at the beginning of each month so there may be a waiting period to start but we help you maximize this time as you document and measure your space for us.
Once you receive your design package, it’s up to you to order in a timely manner and products will have varying lead times to arrive. We try to keep the design simple enough that you could finish your project quickly once all your pieces have arrived. Your space should be ready in about 2 months all things considered!
Our virtual process is an affordable way to work with an interior designer who will help craft a personalized design but allow you to put in some work yourself to complete the space. Our clients love this because you can easily fit it into your schedule, you can work with us regardless of location and you get the enjoyment of putting the room together yourself! You have full control over ordering your pieces, scheduling deliveries directly, and rearranging to perfection.
It’s also a good fit if you want to put a room together all at once or make a purchase slowly over time knowing you have a plan that every piece will work.
If this is a concern, we can help design with simpler ready-made pieces and less complex design elements like painting, wallpaper, lighting changes etc. But we also encourage you to use services like handy.com and taskrabbit.com or ask a friend or relative if you need any help! In most cases, there will always be a small amount of work like putting together furniture pieces and arranging the space to our plans.
We know implementing a design can be intimidating and that is why we offer 1-month email support once you ready to put your design together! It can be used up to 3 months after your design is complete to allow for you items to arrive.
We believe in you and are here to help guide all aspects of the design and give your our expert advice for every little detail - down to the best nails to buy!
You don’t have to wait till you own a home to love your space. Our focus is on a timeless design and help you find pieces that you’ll love and can grow with you and your future spaces. If you are renting, we will cater your design to be renter friendly and removable. We believe everyone should love their home even if you’re not an owner. We will be designing around your current floorplan however as you know, most space sizing is similar from home to home so there is a good chance you can continue to ‘move’ your design along with you.
